Direct TV There are no specific guidelines, or even specific materials needed. Just use what you have, that’s the beauty of it! One of my favorite things to recycle into art, are old magazines. They can be cut up and used to cover something as small as a jar to something as large as a table top. This type of art is known as decoupage. Along with the magazines, you will need scissors, a glue stick and either some type of liquid school glue that dries clear or a clear varnish. You may need to modify the glue types according to what kind of surface you’re covering. A glue stick will work great on paper, cardboard and even smooth plastic, but probably not so much on something like rough wood. Start by finding whatever it is you want to cover. For example, old jars can make great desk top pen holders while covering a shoebox with a lid can make a great keepsake storage container. The item you choose will determine how many magazines you’ll need.
